charged with the goal of elevating industrial technologies and
advancing the development of new industries in Taiwan.
The Energy and Environment Research Laboratories (EEL), one of the seven

the energy and resource technologies, as required by industries
in Taiwan.
ITRI’s main focus is on elevating the competitiveness of
industry in Taiwan. As a partner of industries on the island,
ITRI develops manufacturing technologies and provides training
services. EEL is responsible for undertaking research in energy,
resources and environmental protection technologies. By saving
energy, making better use of resources, and protecting the environment,
it is hoped that the competitiveness of local industries can
be elevated and the long-term growth of Taiwan’s economy
can be sustained. EEL effectively transfers developed technologies
and provides a variety of technical services to local industries.
